Charles S. HESLAR, son of Asa and Martha PICKARD Heslar, expired at his home west of Waveland, Friday evening, Nov 28, 1941 at the age of 80 years and 7 months. He was born in Parke County April 29, 1861 and had spent his entire life in Parke & Montgomery Counties. He was united in marriage to Hattie Jane YOUNG Jan 22, 1890 and this companionship lasted 51 years and 10 months. He was known to his friends as "Uncle Charlie" and always enjoyed meeting them and appreciated their visiting him and remembering him during the several weeks illness he endured. he was one of a family of 10 seven of them grew to manhood and womanhood and Mandy; Emma; Mary and John have preceded him in death. He is survived by the wife and two brothers, Milt and Will, also several nieces and nephews. He was affiliated with the Rockville Baptist Church and later attended the Church at Guion.
